Kaunas, the second biggest city of Lithuania emerged as a medieval town 700 years ago, and developed as major economic center of Lithuania. It has a cozy and well preserved Old Town which was part of Hanseatic League. Also, Kaunas citizens are very proud of their New Town which was built 100 years ago and reminds the glorious times when Kaunas was the capital of Lithuania.
